If you really want to know ;-)....
My name is Ingrid Brunt, I live in the small village of Denholme, between Bradford and Keighley, in West Yorkshire.
I've always loved Art and design and went to Bradford & Ilkley Community College where I gained a BTEC National Diploma in Jewellery Design, which took me to DeMontfort University where I left with a B A Hons Degree in Silversmithing and Jewellery Design & Manufacture.
While searching the internet for unusual beads to compliment a series of charm bracelets I was making I came across Lampworking, immediately I knew this was something I wanted to do, I looked into tools and equipment, bought "Passing The Flame" by Corrina Tettinger and I was hooked.
Having set up my own little studio I am totally addicted to Lampworking. Using soft glass such as Laushca and Vetrofond and a hothead torch, a bead can take up to a hour to make depending on the design. The beads are then annealed overnight in my digitally controlled Paragon SC2 kiln, to give them strength and durability. Each one is then checked for any flaws and hand cleaned.
It didn't take me long to decide this is more than just a hobby, I hope to continually grow this site, improve my bead making knowledge and skills.

My studio is a converted coal cellar, which I share with a few spiders, as long as they keep a respectful distance I don't mind.
